Real Plants in a classroom can boost the learning potential for students, according to the Royal College of Agriculture.

  • Real Plants in Hospitals; patients experience less pain, anxiety, and fatigue, less pain medication, have lower blood pressure and heart rates, and are happier with their recovery rooms than patients without plants, researchers from Kansas State University said.
  • Plant-filled rooms contain 50-60% fewer airborne molds and bacteria than rooms without plants. They clean out chemicals in the air that could be linked to colds, breathing problems and even cancer, according to the Stennis Space Centre.
  • Houseplants can remove up to 87 per cent of air toxins in 24 hours according to NASA
  • At work 40% of absenteeism is from indoor irritants that can be avoided with the use of indoor plants.
  • Indoor plants can reduce fatigue, coughs, sore throats and other cold-related illnesses by more than 30%, according to the University of Agriculture in Norway.

Plus, here in Gilbert, AZ we have a desert climate and cannot grow lush plants outside but we can inside! My cymbidium loves being in my office here at Islands Executive Suites and I love looking at it.
